◄ Awesome Paintings by Gabi ►

► Gabi was born in Hungary, but moved to Canada in 1989. She always had good imagination and a creative side but only in the her early 20′s she found her inspiration to start painting and only in the last 7 years she found herself, and her own style of painting. She thinks she is a late bloomer. Partly because she was so busy raising her 3 children. She loves a variety of things to paint and uses vibrant colors that pop.
Painting is her way to relax, to be creative and to escape to another world. When she paints she gets so lost in the moment that she doesn’t notice anything around her, not even the hours passing by.
Her mind is constantly thinking about the next project ahead. She is never out of ideas. At present, she is working at marketing her art through art galleries and different internet sites.

► Artist Statement :
I live and work in an old industrial area of Berlin, wich was the place where the German Electric Industry started, A E G. This might be a forgotten Place, but here it is full of energy and that is what i need to make my artwork. My studio is placed midden of old factory buildings I live in the former battery laboratory house wich I developed in the beginning of 2003 in myneighborhood there are a lot of former factory’s. The most of them are closed and that is what it makes it so exiting to me as an artist. The smell and the sound of emtyness, mixed with the rest idea of former production and productive energy, it goes into me and break through in the transforming process of my artwork. Music is an important part in my life and music inspires me and my art production.Since I was a child from 5 or 6 years, I always saw any kind of music in colors and later the symphonies became colorful landscapes in my mind.I was inspired first of all by wolfgang a. Mozart, gustav mahler, anton bruckner and later of the russian composers segej rachmaninov and later a few others. In the 80ties was it john cage, lary anderson and steve reich.Aswell there was a few writer like jack kerouack, charles buckowsky, allen ginsbourg and william bourrouse and then the wonderful bob dylan and later tom waits.2it all influenced my work and the fascination of waste lands gives distinction to my work as an artist. The most interesting thing for me is in such a transforming process when nature start to destroy and takes back all buildings in there own system of life and organic structures. My paintings open a window and you become a citizen of my world of light, colors and transparence. just fly ………

◄ Paintings by Raphael ►
► Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino (April 6 or March 28, 1483 – April 6, 1520), better known simply as Raphael , was an Italian painter and architect of the High Renaissance, celebrated for the perfection and grace of his paintings and drawings. Together with Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, he forms the traditional trinity of great masters of that period.
Raphael was enormously productive, running an unusually large workshop, and despite his death at thirty-seven, a large body of his work remains. Many of his works are found in the Apostolic Palace of The Vatican, where the frescoed Raphael Rooms were the central, and the largest, work of his career.
The best known work is The School of Athens in the Vatican Stanza della Segnatura. After his early years in Rome, much of his work was designed by him and executed largely by the workshop from his drawings, with considerable loss of quality.
He was extremely influential in his lifetime, though outside Rome his work was mostly known from his collaborative printmaking. After his death, the influence of his great rival Michelangelo was more widespread until the 18th and 19th centuries, when Raphael’s more serene and harmonious qualities were again regarded as the highest models.
His career falls naturally into three phases and three styles, first described by Giorgio Vasari: his early years in Umbria, then a period of about four years (from 1504–1508) absorbing the artistic traditions of Florence, followed by his last hectic and triumphant twelve years in Rome, working for two Popes and their close associates.

◄ Art by Oleg Zhivetin ►
► Oleg Zhivetin Biography :
Oleg Zhivetin was born on March 8, 1964 in Tashkent, Capitol of the Soviet Republic of Uzbekistan, to a family of Russian painters. He started to paint at a very early age under the supervision of his father’s severe and demanding eye. When he was nine years old he began an art program where he learned to work with watercolors. While still young, his family resettled in Moscow, where Oleg began his studies at age fifteen at the Moscow Academy of Art. At the academy he continued to learn how to paint and draw as well as study traditional subjects such as history, of which Oleg is extremely fond. He earned his Fine Art degree with honors, in 1982. Oleg decided to apply to the Surikov Art Institute, which is known by many to be the Soviet Union’s most prestigious school of art. Unfortunately, Oleg was not accepted to the school on his first try and this prompted him to go back to Uzbekistan to earn a degree in art education. He was accepted to the Surikov Art Institute after applying for a second time. Only those talented enough to gain admission to the Surikov were able to study under esteemed Soviet artists such as Yuri Karilov. Oleg eventually obtained the coveted Master of Fine Arts degree in 1990.
After graduation, Oleg grew beyond his academic focus of Dutch, Flemish, Renaissance old masters, and Soviet social-realism to develop a much more individualistic and contemporary style. Oleg decided to hire one of his neighbors to sell his art on the street in order that he could earn some money to live. The artwork began to sell after a few months, and eventually, his neighbor asked him if he wanted to go to America. Oleg was given a phone number to call to arrange for this opportunity. It turns out that the telephone number belonged to a man who was looking for exceptional artists to sponsor. Needless to say, the sponsor liked what he saw in Oleg’s work. This sponsorship allowed Oleg to work in the United States under a three-month visa. He arrived in California and took some of his paintings to a Russian art dealer.

◄ Photos of Zinnia Flowers ►
► Zinnia is a genus of 20 species of annual and perennial plants of family Asteraceae, originally from scrub and dry grassland in an area stretching from the American Southwest to South America, but primarily Mexico, and notable for their solitary long-stemmed flowers that come in a variety of bright colors.Zinnia leaves are opposite and usually stalkless (sessile), with a shape ranging from linear to ovate, and pale to middle green in color.
The flowers have a range of appearances, from a single row of petals, to a dome shape, with the colors white, chartreuse, yellow, orange, red, purple, and lilac.Zinnias are popular garden flowers, usually grown from seed, and preferably in fertile, humus-rich, and well-drained soil, in an area with full sun. They will reseed themselves each year.
Over 100 cultivars have been produced since selective breeding started in the 19th century.Zinnia elegans, also known as Zinnia violacea, is the most familiar species, originally from Mexico and thus a warm–hot climate plant. Its leaves are lance-shaped and sandpapery in texture, and height ranges from 15 cm to 1 meter.Zinnia angustifolia is another Mexican species. It has a low bushy plant habit, linear foliage, and more delicate flowers than Z. elegans – usually single, and in shades of yellow, orange or white. It is also more resistant to powdery mildew than Z. elegans, and hybrids between the two species have been raised which impart this resistance on plants intermedate in appearance between the two.
The Profusion series, with both single and double-flowered components, is bred by Sakata of Japan, and is among the most well-known of this hybrid group.

◄ Art by Piet Pedersen ►
► Artist Statement :
” I am an artist living in Aarup at Fyn in Denmark and I am born in 1960. I have been drawing and painting my entire life and I am so lucky to have room in my life to paint, with family and all. To me it means stability, joy, peace and lots of colors.
For some years I have been working with commercials as a sign writer. It doesn’t mean much for my painting style, but it provides me some discipline in my work. I love to tell a story and I am seeking the motif in the motif. Therefore you can often recognize it and see what it looks like. If people can recognize the shape, you can put almost anything in it, and get away with it.
I am always trying to renew myself from time to time, but I am stuck with certain figures and colors or they are stuck with me. Often I have been painting the rhinos. It s almost extinct, but then again, it has a protecting armor. The similarities to my own life exist in everything. Sometimes we need protection against the world. The pictures of a bull and a woman I see as if I am the bull pressing on while the woman is a expression of my inner vulnerability. The toucan is a self-portrait from my soul, representing my soul. As a bird, I have the big view at the world and thereby the sense of happy colors and happy moments. I see the toucan as a symbol of freedom and good values and my direct contact with my inner soul as a painter. The toucan is always with me in my work, monitoring my work and securing it is well done. A free bird with happiness in colors and expression…..it should appear as often as possible in my work.
Sometimes I pick up my inspiration in the darkness of my soul. It often appears as (brightness) clarity of colors. At other times I catch a glimpse of something, and it gets reworked until it shows who I am and what I want. It all goes through a process where I am exploring it and if I can approve it, its end up with my signature. There is at all times an inner connection and drive to keep on painting. I don’t paint to be famous or to receive recognition. I paint because the urges demand me to, and therefore I just keep on painting. “

◄ Photography by Ansel Adams ►
► The grandfather of landscape photography. He is the one nature photographer that transcends the genre and even photography for that matter. His images are so well-known that photographers and tourists-alike are still trying to fill his tripod holes 60 – 70 years after his most famous images were made.
Perhaps his greatest legacy were his environmental conservation efforts with the Sierra Club that led to creation of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks among other areas, and also the art education institutions that he helped to create.
